Clarence Dillon Wines and Clarendelle

It is with great pleasure and pride that I would like to announce the beginning of a new chapter for the Dillon family in Bordeaux.

Seventy years after my great grandfather, Clarence Dillon, acquired Chateau Haut-Brion, thereby firmly establishing our roots in this region, we have taken a new and exciting step forward by establishing; Clarence Dillon Wines.

Clarence Dillon Wines, a wholly owned and independent subsidiary of Domaine Clarence Dillon, is a traditional Bordeaux negociant business whose primary purpose is the production and sale of “Clarendelle”, a range of Premium Bordeaux wines. The negociant business will also offer our clients a particular focus on the wines of Domaine Clarence Dillon, eventually extending to other great wines that share our philosophy.

“Clarendelle” will seek its inspiration in the heritage and quality of Clarence Dillon Wines. This should prove an auspicious foundation for these wines, which will consist of an elegant blend of Bordeaux’s finest traditional grape varietals Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for the red and Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc for the white. This new range of wines will be officially introduced to the market in June 2005.

The new team at Clarence Dillon Wines is led by Mr. Claude Boudamani as Operational Director. Mr. Claude Boudamani is an oenologue by training who has enjoyed a successful career as a negociant in Bordeaux. Mr. Boudamani has helped create and launch new wines both in France and internationally and has also acquired experience in representing and selling prestigious estate wines.

Domaine Clarence Dillon will remain the primary consultant to this new venture.

Should you wish to receive more information concerning Clarendelle and/or Clarence Dillon Wines, please do not hesitate to contact Claude Boudamani at:

We will look forward to introducing you to our wines this autumn!

With all of my best wishes,

Robert de Luxembourg,
President
