Vinitaly Toasts the “Young Lions” - The Wines of the Future

A high-level tasting guided by Serena Sutcliffe, Master of Wine and Wine Director of Sotheby’s. Italian participants include Marco Caprai, Angelo Gaja, Piero Antinori and Sebastiano Rosa of Tenute di San Guido.

“Designer” wines in the forefront of world oenology. Collector bottles signed by producers have and still demonstrate that they can set trends and keep ahead of the market in terms of wine-making styles.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Vinitaly - the international landmark event in the sector scheduled at VeronaFiere next 6-10 April - will offer enthusiasts a sophisticated tasting occasion at 15.30 on Saturday 8 April titled “Young Lions”, organised and selected by Serena Sutcliffe, Wine Director of Sotheby’s.

The event - for a selected audience of professionals, journalists and major collectors - will be moderated by Serena Sutcliffe - Master of Wine and member of the exclusive international institute of leading experts in the sector.

Top wines will be presented by famous producers - such as Marco Caprai, Angelo Gaja, Piero Antinori and Sebastiano Rosa of Tenute di San Guido for Italy, Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac, Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon of Champagne Louis Roederer, Alexander Van Beek of Château Giscours, Dominique Lafon of Domaine Comtes-Lafon and Philippe Guigal of E. Guigal for France; David Powell of Torbrek (Australia) and Willi Brundlmayer of Weingut Brundlmayer (Austria).
