The LVMH Asia Scholarships were created in 1986, giving students at leading French universities an opportunity to submit grant proposals for research on a subject of their choice in a country in the Asia-Pacific region. The winners are selected by a jury comprising LVMH executives, as well as people from outside the Group. They receive a scholarship enabling them to travel to Asia to complete their research and agree to submit a report when they return.
A new France-China program was added this year for students from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. Candidates were asked to submit an essay on the subject “Luxury Goods and the Internet: Can Luxury Goods Be Sold Via Internet in China?”. The winning students receive a scholarship and a four to six week internship at an LVMH Group company in France.
The three winners of these first France-China scholarships are Mrs. Meg Hu, Mr. Simon Sha and Mr. Siddhartha Sarkar. They will complete their internships at Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and Parfums Christian Dior, respectively.

The LVMH Asia Scholarship awards ceremony, attended by numerous VIPs and LVMH Group executives, takes place on May 29 at the Maison de l’Asie in Paris.
