FFP, a Paris listed company, whose majority holders are the Peugeot family, Domaine de Chevalier (Bernard Family), Neipperg Invest and Xavier Planty, have joined to take over the civil society of Château Guiraud, an 1855 Sauternes premier cru classé.
A jewel of the Sauternes community, Château Guiraud, whose wine estate dates from the 15th century, has more than one hundred hectares of vineyards. It has a reputation for its organic growing approach that favors noble rot and the finesse of its liquor-like wines.
Robert Peugeot (FFP), Olivier Bernard (Domaine de Chevalier), Stephan von Neipperg (Château Canon la Gaffelière, La Mondotte) and Xavier Planty (current managing director) have as their objectives to continue Château Guiraud’s excellent production, develop its outstanding reputation, and strengthen its market share in world markets through Bordeaux wine merchants. Due to questions remaining to be clarified, final arrangements should take place at the end of July.
