US and Canada lead growth of Spanish wine sales abroad

Figures confirm the trend of Spanish wine exports over recent years, with a growing focus on quality products.

The US and Canada are the countries where Spanish wine exports are rising fastest. Growth rates have increased on previous years by 31 percent in value and 25.3 percent in volume on the US market and 61 percent in value and 53 percent in volume for the Canadian market. In both counties, sales were topped by wines under appellation. Aromatised wines and sparkling wines and Cava also increased, by 24 and 3.6 percent respectively.
