Spier and Savanha trade under new Spier Wines

Spier and Savanha wines, formerly owned by Winecorp, will trade as part of the Spier Wines stable from 1 April 2007.

Spier Wines (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Spier Group, was formed in December 2006 to market its two core brands, Spier and Savanha, and maintain the momentum of brand success.

Spier Wines MD Neville Carew says, “The past 12 months have been exceptional for our wines in terms of accolades and awards, and volume growth. We’ve increased our global foot print by 150%, and we’re entering new markets at an unprecedented rate.”

A healthy, flavourful harvest for the new vintage wines promises to further the brands’ success. With smaller than average yields of concentrated fruit, the vintage is shaping up to be amongst Spier’s best.

Marketing efforts in the year ahead will capitalise on the established Spier brand. The long term vision for the Spier Wines stable is to enhance service levels to global partners, and to ensure that the brands over-deliver on value to the consumer base.
