Kumkani wins gold at prestigious Belgian meet

Kumkani, the flagship brand of ‘the company of wine peopleT’, has won a gold
medal at esteemed Belgian wine awards Concours Mondial de Bruxelles for its
Chardonnay/Viognier 2005.

One of 15 South African brands to win gold at the meet, Kumkani also won
silver for its Lanner Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2006.

Kumkani Chardonnay/Viognier 2005 shows a rich profile of lemon, peach,
honeysuckle and vanilla. The wine is a two-time four star winner in WINE
Magazine, and received four and a half stars in the John Platter wine guide
2007.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, now in its 14th year, engages a stringent
rating system where 30% or fewer entries ever win a medal. The 2007 event
attracted an unprecedented 5,735 entries from five continents.
