Rob Sands named Constellation Brands CEO effective July 26; Richard Sands remains Chairman

Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ, ASX: CBR), a leading international producer and marketer of beverage alcohol, today announced its board of directors has named Robert S. (Rob) Sands, 49, chief executive officer effective July 26, 2007. Richard Sands, 56, will remain active in the company as chairman of the board.

Remy Cointreau — preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2007

Current operating profit up 20% (organic).
For the third consecutive year, Rémy Cointreau has achieved double-digit growth (20% organic, and 10.2% published) in current operating profit, which amounted to €153.8 million on turnover of €785.9 million. The current operating margin was 19.6%, a 2.8 point organic growth.

Earliest recorded blossoming of grapevines in Germany

The extraordinarily warm weather in spring 2007 led to a rapid development of the vines and an extremely early blossoming. According to Ernst Büscher of the German Wine Institute, Mainz, the first vines in Germany have blossomed about a week earlier than ever before. The earliest recorded blossoming to date was in the Rheingau on 2 June 1993. On average, blossoming takes place in mid-June.

Jasper (Jay) Indelicato was elected Wine Institute board chairman for the 2007-2008 fiscal year at the 73rd Annual Wine Institute Meeting of Members held yesterday at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. He is chief operating officer at Delicato Family Vineyards headquartered in Napa, with the San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey County and a winery in Manteca.
