New Release from Jacob’s Creek® - Shiraz Rosé

Jacob’s Creek® is delighted to announce the release of the Shiraz Rosé 2006 (suggested retail price: $7.99), now available nationwide in the USA.

A dynamic new addition to the Jacob’s Creek wine portfolio, the Shiraz Rosé 2006 is designed to be more than a summer sipper. Explains Philip Laffer, Chief Winemaker at Jacob’s Creek, “The concept of using Shiraz in the Rosé blend was intended to create a wine that would be much more than just a great picnic or summer wine.” Laffer continues, “The Shiraz Rosé is a wine which deserves a place on the dining table, a wine that truly complements food.”

The unique contribution of the Shiraz varietal enables the wine to pair perfectly with a wide variety of cuisines, especially spicy flavors. The peppery character distinct to Shiraz makes it an ideal wine for drinking with Asian dishes as well as salads, which are notoriously difficult to match. Other proven pairings include pasta, white meats and seafood; options diverse enough to ensure the popularity of the Shiraz Rosé 2006 all year round.

Featuring a vibrant, natural salmon pink coloring, the wine displays appealing aromas of fresh raspberry and mulberry fruits, underpinned with a cinnamon spice background. The palate has a refreshing acidity, leading to a long and flavorful finish.

The Jacob’s Creek range is extremely diverse in terms of price and style. From the ultra-premium Heritage range to accessible high quality of the Core wines, Jacob’s Creek strives to always over-deliver in terms of quality. Carrying a price point under $10, the Shiraz Rosé 2006 represents the continuation of this proud heritage. Says Laffer, “Jacob’s Creek Shiraz Rosé is spicy, vibrant, perfumed, dry and crisp. Simply put, this wine is everything you look for, whether you are pairing it with food or just craving a refreshing, lively drink.”
