10th Japan Wine Challenge 2007

Japan Wine Challenge 2007 Result — The 10th Japan Wine Challenge took place at the Sheraton Miyako Hotel Tokyo from Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th July 2007. With around 1,700 wines from 20 different countries, the Japan Wine Challenge is now firmly established as Asia’s most prestigious wine competition. 

Headed by Chairman Steven Spurrier (Consultant Editor of Decanter Magazine) and Co-Chairman John Avery MW (former Chairman of the Institute of Masters of Wine), the judges awarded a total number of 108 Gold Medals, 258 Silver Medals, 558 Bronze Medals and 385 Seals of Approval.

This year we have the eleven (11) Trophy winners, along with the Japan Wine Challenge special Awards – 15 Best of Country Awards, White Winemaker, Red Winemaker and Champagne Winemaker Awards as well as best Importer. The results of these trophies and special awards will be announced in October 2007.
