* Manchester - 25th February
* London - 27th February
SITT 2008 hope to be even more useful than ever before, with some ‘very exciting’ things in the pipe-line:
Their PR for these events:
< <
1. NEW exhibitors: very little space for new exhibitors this year, as the majority of last year's importers have re-booked, and as you know we want to keep the event to a manageable size. So new to SITT is 'Top Selection' who will be there with a brilliant portfolio of sweet wines that will truly amaze you; 'Domaine Direct' with their top quality selection from Burgundy and 'Champagne Joseph Perrier'.
2. NEW INITIATIVE: 'SPEED DATING' WITH THE GENERICS:
SITT enjoys something of a reputation for innovation, so we thought 2008 should be the year to extend the 'bringing together' theme to include some,of the best generic bodies, too. We have invited Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and Chile to build relationships with SITT visitors.
What these four countries have in common is that they all will have something tangible to offer the SITT visitors, and as a press visitor it will give you the opportunity to find out what their plans are for 2008.
* New Zealand Wine Growers already has a very interesting programme for Independent Wine Merchants in place and they will be announcing their 2008 competition at SITT
* Chile is very involved in the research OLN are doing with independent wine merchants, and a forum to discuss the results of some recent research is also planned at SITT
* Portugal has recently completed a bursary scheme aimed at encouraging the on-trade to open bottles of Portuguese wines for their customers. They are keen to talk to the press about organising trips to Portugal
* Australia is planning to launching a whole range of new
promotional materials and incentives
In addition there will be
3. Two exciting forums with Off Licence News and Wine & Spirit based on the research they are currently carrying out with the independent sector and with 500 top on-trade establishments
4. Harpers will also be launching a major competition . . . more details to follow
5. The Exhibitor list. We are delighted to welcome back
