Producers of Syrah Wines — Registrations now open for Syrah du Monde® 2008

Syrah du Monde® 2008 will take place on 15 and 16 May 2008 at Ampuis (northern Rhône Valley, France). Producers of Syrah wines who wish to present their products have until 25 of April, 2008 to register, for that two options:

The results will be announced on the competition’s Web site (www.syrah-du-monde.com) on Monday the 19th of May 2008 and simultaneously a press release will massively be diffused by email to the principal commercial operators of in France and abroad.

The Syrah du Monde® international competition recognises the world’s best Syrah wines by awarding them with reliable and thus representative medals. Award-winning wineries can use this recognition for sales purposes by placing medal stickers on their bottles.

This competition is based on a single conviction: distinctive marks of quality are the key to real differentiation and thus to enhancing the value of your wines.

Syrah du Monde® occupy a special place amongst international competitions thank to its stringent and rigorous methodology: strict application of international standards, stringent selection of expert judges, and a scientific approach to the tasting processes. The medals awarded are thus based on reliable and recognised selection criteria, which are the key to real differentiation in a highly competitive market where the vast array of products can often be confusing.

* Training in tasting methodology at the ROBIN St Vincent de Paul Institution, with individual assessment of each taster.
* Faultless, quality-driven organisation: limitation of the number of wines per jury and ideal tasting conditions (sensory isolation, proper tasting rhythm, etc.)
* Secure computer processing of results by the Services Actions Qualité Company.
