Champagne Ayala launches in the United States with an invitation-only Champagne tasting at New York’s Bergdorf Goodman

Champagne Ayala long unavailable in the U.S., is now for sale at New York City retailers for the first time. Ayala is also now being poured in several of the country’s top-tier restaurants including the Champagne Bar in the newly restored Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Cognac One LLC, Ayala’s exclusive U.S. importer, celebrated the launch with an invitation-only tasting of all eight champagnes in the product line at renowned BG Restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman. The launch party for the New York Food & Beverage industry and press, was attended by insiders like Wine Spectator’s Bruce Sanderson, wine writers Harriet and Bill Lembeck, Herve Durozard of Groupe Alain Ducasse, and Bernard Sun and Hristo Zisovski of Restaurant Jean Georges, to name a few.

Ayala, wholly owned by Bollinger since 2005, comes from an historic House in Äy, France. Offering a full complement of eight champagnes to suit every taste, from Zero Dosage to Demi-Sec, Ayala is the favorite of cognoscenti for its clean, fresh style and high quality. A pioneer in Zero Dosage champagne, Ayala’s portfolio currently includes a Zero Dosage Brut and the world’s only Cuvée Rosé Nature (both with no sugar added, unlike the majority of champagnes).

Champagne Ayala has earned great notoriety in Europe and the United Kingdom among such restaurant luminaries as Gordon Ramsay, London’s 3-star Michelin chef and television personality, who has made Ayala the official champagne in his restaurants. Now, with Cognac One as exclusive U.S. importer, Ayala is sold in New York City at prominent retailers Garnet, Cellar 72, New York Wine Exchange and Chelsea Wine Vault, and poured at restaurants such as Bergdorf Goodman, La Goulue, Grayz, Buzina Pop, Flute, and the Royalton. The suggested retail price ranges from $39.99 to $119.99 per bottle.
