LIAN ‘Wine Gala’ features unlimited Australian and New Zealand wines for two Hours at HK$198
Hong Kong: Contemporary Viet-Thai bar and bistro LIAN at ifc mall in Central is celebrating the season with a ‘Wine Gala’ of free-flowing Australian and New Zealand wine nightly for two hours priced at just HK$198.
Unlimited glasses of 13 refreshing vintages from ‘Down Under’ are on offer at the special price for every 2 hours between 6-10pm.
The latest of a series of ‘Wine Gala’ promotions focuses on hand-picked Australian and New Zealand choices until the end of June.
On the new menu, complete with tasting notes, are whites, reds, sparkling and even rosé wines. Featured wineries include West Cape, Whitehaven, Simonsig Kaapse, Balnaves the Blend, Ashbrook, Sandalford, Lizard of OZ, Kirrihills Estate and Trinity Hills.
Featured vintages are: Simonsig Kaapse Vonkle Sparkling 2006, West Cape Howe Rose 2007, Lizard of OZ Chardonnay 2006, West Cape Howe Unwooded Chardonnay 2007, West Cape Howe Viognier 2007, Sheraton Wine Awards gold medal winner Ashbrook Semillon 2007, Whitehaven Riesling 2007, Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Balnaves the Blend Cabernet 2000, Sandalford Element Merlot 2005, Kirrihills Estate GSM 2004, Trinity Hills Pinot Noir 2005 and Lizard of OZ Shiraz 2006.
To complement the wines on offer, are an array of bar snacks ranging from Soft Shell Crab Rice Paper Rolls (HK$68) and Black-peppered Beef Cubes with Rice Vermicelli Cake (HK$55) to Thai Prawn Balls with Nouc Nam Vietnamese Fish Sauce (HK$78) and Zucchini Chips with Avocado Dip (HK$68).
Providing a perfect location for relaxing post work drinks, LIAN, meaning Lotus in Mandarin, is a fashionable venue styled by renowned Hong Kong designer Steve Leung and resembles a “lair” divided by rattan carvings. The centerpiece is a large rectangular dining table with a pool of lotus leaves and lily pads in the centre.
