This year’s London International Wine Fair (LIWF) is more on-trade friendly than ever before with all the winning wines from this year’s Sommelier Wine Awards (SWA) on offer at the On-Trade Lounge.
Now in its third year, the SWA competition has already gained a reputation for being the competition for the UK’s on-trade and its winning wines will all be available to taste across the three days of the Fair; the only place where the on-trade can try all the Gold and Shortlisted wines from this year’s competition. With over 300 wines on show, every category is represented, from house wines to fizz, top European regions to New World varietal classics and a host of more esoteric offerings.

Chosen by the world’s top sommeliers and on-trade buyers, all these wines are on-trade exclusive and available in the UK, so this is the perfect place to stop off if you are looking to improve your wine list.
The On-Trade Lounge will also feature a Wine List Clinic where those working within the on-trade can have free one-to-one specialist consultations with industry experts. Leading sommeliers and wine experts will be available to analyse wine lists and menus and address how individuals can add quality and value to their wine offering.
James Murray, event director, commented: “The Sommelier Wine Awards is unlike any other competition as it is aimed solely at the needs of the on-trade, making it a must-visit destination for all those who work in a restaurant, hotel or gastropub. It will be the perfect place for the on-trade to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy some of the ‘best in show’ wines and even get your wine list analysed for free by one of our top consultants.”
Places for the Wine List Clinic are limited and will be allocated in advance so please contact imbibe@imbibemagazine.co.uk to register and book your appointment.
