The 2008 Bordeaux Primeurs campaign has generated rather more interest than was originally expected, partly because of the favourable pricing and partly because of the high quality of the wines. If you have not had a chance yet to sample any of the 2008’s, do come along to the Freixenet / Yvon Mau stand (Q40) where there will be an opportunity to do so.

From 11h00 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 15h00 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 11h00 to 12h00 on Thursday, several classed growth 2008’s from a range of appellations will be available to taste, with Richard Bampfield MW on hand to discuss them. If this is of interest, do let me know if you can which day / time is most likely to suit you best.

Also on the stand for tasting throughout the Fair are some second wines of Classed Growth estates from the 2006 vintage, a vintage that has seen its reputation increase enormously since initial release.

We do hope that you will be able to join us on the stand at some stage during the Fair to enjoy the wines above as well as many others from the Yvon Mau range.
