O’Brien Cellars announced the launch of Wine for Hope, an online wine retail store designed to help raise funds for Academy of Friends, an organization dedicated to raising funds granted to a diverse set of HIV/AIDS direct care and prevention education agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Wine for Hope automatically donates 20% of all sales to Academy of Friends.
In a further initiative to ensure that WSET gives its students a business and commercial focus, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust is launching a series of business-related seminars at the International Wine & Spirit Centre, its premises in Bermondsey St. These will be run in conjunction with Match Consultants – one of the new WSET Corporate Patrons announced by Ian Harris at the recent WSET Awards of Excellence – with the first Business Seminar taking place on Monday 23 April.
